<p>PURPOSE: To judge and infer the presence of an earthquake at high speed by extracting at least one of three characteristic quantities of ON period, ON time sum, and ON time maximum value by a characteristic quantity extracting means on the basis of ON/OFF signal, and judging the presence of credibility for the data of ON period by a credibility judging means. CONSTITUTION: When a seismoscope 2 is ON, and a first ON signal is given, a 5-second timer is started, and when the 5-second timer or a 2.5-second timer is timed up, no earthquake is judged to end it. When it is not timed up, the propriety of ON of the seismoscope 2 is judged, the 2.5-second timer is renewed when ON signal is given, and the data is sampled to extract three characteristic quantities of ON period, ON time sum, and ON time maximum value by a characteristic quantity extracting means 4. On the basis of the ON period data extracted and judged to have credibility by a credibility judging means 6 and the other characteristic quantity data, an inference is performed by an inferring means 5 to judge whether it is the earthquake or not, and the result is outputted.</p> |
