<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a torque sensor whose detection accuracy is high by a method wherein a drive part and an actuator part for a sensing element are formed in such a way that their mutual contact part becomes a curved surface. CONSTITUTION: A steering shaft is divided into an input shaft 1 and an output shaft 2, a first mounting base 6 is installed integrally at the input shaft 1, and an actuator part 11 is installed vertically at the tip of the mounting base 6. On the other hand, a second mounting base 9 is installed integrally at the output shaft 2, and a sensing element 13 is fixed to the tip of the mounting base 9. Both the contact face of the actuator part 11 and that of a lever 13a for the element 13 are formed to be a curved surface, and a zero point is adjusted in a state that both are brought into contact with a point. Then, when a steering wheel which is attached to the tip of the input shaft 1 is turned, a torsion bar 3 is twisted, a twist as a phase difference in a rotation is generated between the input shaft 1 and the output shaft 2, and the twist is detected as a rotation torque by the element 13.</p> |
