PURPOSE: To provide a power converter by the use of switched capacitors capable of reducing the capacity of a capacitance element for controlling charging current, of improving the circuit efficiency, and of reducing noise. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of capacitance elements Cj (j=1-5) are charged from a higher set voltage one successively through switching elements Sj1 (j=1-5) and an inductance element L1 , by the series circuit of a power source E and a capacitance element Cs , and the voltage of the capacitance element Cs drops following the set voltage of each capacitance element Cj (j=1-5). Accordingly, it becomes possible to provide a power converter by the use of switched capacitors capable of reducing the capacity of the capacitance element for controlling charging current, of reducing the peak current and noise, and of making the circuit efficiency higher. |
