PURPOSE: To suppress the wast of resources and further to accelerate a busy response as well by efficiently processing the input/output requests of streams at different rates without requiring much time. CONSTITUTION: The plural unit streams to be simultaneously supplied at reference speed are decided, and a schedule is previously prepared for allocating the timewise use of a storage device 25, input/output device 16 and buffer memory 18 to all the unit streams. When any stream is actually requested, the required number of non-used unit streams are allocated corresponding to requested rate, and the requested stream is supplied according to the schedule of allocated unit streams. |
