<p>PURPOSE: To provide a TV receiver of a simple constitution and also to reduce the turn-back disturbance. CONSTITUTION: A luminance signal is separated by a separating filter 20 into the low and high band components, and the interpolation processing is applied to only the high band component. A vertical edge detector contained in a movement detector 28 detects a vertical edge component, and this edge component is compared with the prescribed threshold value by a comparator. If the vertical edge component i.e., an output signal >= threshold value is satisfied, the filter 20 does not separate the luminance signal and all high band components are processed by a nonlinear processing circuit 22, etc. If the output signal >= threshold value is not satisfied, the filter 20 separates the luminance signal into the high and low band components.</p> |
