<p>PURPOSE: To lessen the damage of tape edges by setting the rotating direction of an upper cylinder in a direction opposite to a reproducing and traveling direction of a magnetic tape during tape loading operation to wind the tape on the cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A cam gear 14 is rotated counterclockwise by the driving force of a loading motor to drive a cam follower pin 14a to move a slide 4 leftward upon receiving a command for reproduction operation. A pressing lever 5 and link 6 on both of a supply side and taking-up side are rotated clockwise and tape drawing out blocks 3 on both sides are moved along guide blocks via a link 7, thereby, the tape 15 drawn out of the respective supply and take-up reels 17, 18 is wound around the cylinder 1 over a prescribed angle. A drum motor is rotated in arrow C direction reverse to the rotating direction at the time of the reproduction operation. As a result, an air film is formed between the cylinder 1 and the tape 15 on the tape outlet side of the cylinder, thereby, the impact on the tape edges at the time when the tape 1 rides on the leading surface 1c is relieved.</p> |
