<p>PURPOSE: To prevent inversion at the inversion scheduled position at the time of reproducing when inversion is not performed at the inversion scheduled position at the time of recording. CONSTITUTION: When recording and reproducing are performed running a tape in the direction of back and forth, in the case that inversion is performed after a tape pass through an inversion scheduled position XR1 at the time of recording in the forward FWD direction, a front inversion invalid flag is recorded as '1' of a set state with a count up value being inversion information as shown in B at the time of recording in the reverse direction REV after inversion. At the time of reproducing, it is detected that the front inversion invalid flag is '1' of a set state immediately before the inversion scheduled position XR1 , inversion at the inversion scheduled position XR1 based on inversion information in the forward WD direction is not performed, but inversion at an actual inversion position XR2 based on inversion information in the reverse REV direction is performed.</p> |
