<p>PURPOSE: To make a switch state and inversion operation coincide by performing actual inversion operation in accordance with a state of an inversion mode switch of a position scheduled to inverse without depending on a state of the inversion mode switch of an inversion information recording start position. CONSTITUTION: In a recording device performing record running a tape 16 in the direction of back and forth, when inversion information performing inversion preparing operation at near an inversion position is recorded, inversion information is recorded from an inversion information recording start position without depending on a selected state of an inversion mode switch 33. And a state of the inversion mode switch 33 is detected immediately before an inversion scheduled position, and actual inversion operation is controlled in accordance with this inversion mode.</p> |
