PURPOSE: To provide an endoscope provided with a protective cover at a low manufacturing cost with a simple constitution, without making the external diameter of the endoscope large, and without causing ghost and flare inside the observation visual field. CONSTITUTION: A protective cover 4 is attached to the leading edge of an endoscope main body 1 in which an observing optical system 2 and an illuminating optical system 3 are provided in an adjacent relation. A transparent member 5 is provided on a position opposed to the leading edge surface 1a of the main body 1 of the cover 4. Furthermore, coating for preventing the reflection of illuminating light which is the cause of the occurrence of the ghost is respectively performed on the inside surface 6 and the outside surface 7 of the member 5 of the cover 4. |
