<p>PURPOSE: To automatically switch the musical instrument to a sustain sound at the time of pitch adjustment and then automatically switch the musical instrument to its original timbre after the pitch adjustment ends by controlling a pitch adjustment mode switching means and switching the timbre read out in pitch adjustment mode to the original timbre. CONSTITUTION: A pitch adjustment mode changeover switch 3B is a switch which switches a normal play mode and a pitch adjustment mode. When the mode is switched from the normal play mode to the pitch adjustment mode by operating the pitch adjustment mode changeover switch 3B, the sounded timbre is automatically switched to a predetermined sustain sound. Further, when the adjustment of the pitch ends and a mode switching part 12 switches the mode to the normal mode, the pitch setting mode ends and the timbre is put back to the timbre set before the pitch adjustment, thereby generating a sound. A player can, therefore, vary parameters while actually listening the extent of variation in pitch only pressing a key once at the time of the pitch adjustment.</p> |
