PURPOSE: To eliminate the influence of stray light by inside surface reflection, etc., in an image reforming optical system and to detect an accurate photometric value by correcting the photometric value of a photometry element corresponding to a specific region in plural regions, based on the photometric value in other regions and a coefficient of correction previously set in each region. CONSTITUTION: A photographic picture frame is divided into 24 sideways and 16 lengthwise, to form 384 photometric regions R[i, j] in total. A photometry sensor 6 measures the luminance distribution of a subject and outputs a photometric signal to an arithmetic circuit 7. It inputs the photometric value B[i, j] in each photometric region from the photometry sensor 6. Then, the averaged value Av of the photometric values of four photometry elements included in a spot photometric region Sp is calculated. The photometric value B[i, j] of each photometry element is multiplied by the coefficient of correction E[i, j] previously set in each photometry region, to calculate a correction value Rs. Then, the photometric value Bsp of the spot photometry region Sp is calculated based on the averaged value Av of the spot photometry region Sp and the correction value Rs. |
