PURPOSE: To detect a radar target stably in a wide range by approaching a synthesized pattern of a transmitting pattern and a receiving pattern at an opening face to a cosecant square pattern. CONSTITUTION: A receiving signal received through an antenna element 111 is phase-controlled by a transmitting/receiving module 112 based on control data from a beam controller 119. The control data are corrected by a phase correction value stored in a phase correction value memory 11 different from a transmitting time. The phase-controlled receiving signal is synthesized with a predetermined synthesizing ratio in a power synthesizer 114. The phase correction value and the synthesizing ratio are set so that a synthesized pattern becomes a cosecant square pattern.
