PURPOSE: To provide a color filter having a color pattern of high density and high accuracy and having good heat resistance, chemical resistance and light resistance and good color characteristics. CONSTITUTION: This substrate for dyeing with sublimating dyes consists of a substrate and a hard film of a photosetting resin compsn. containing a resin having >=90 acid value. By this constitution, such a substrate for dyeing with sublimating dyes is obtd. that shows good adsorptivity of sublimating dyes and is suitable for a thermal printer or a color filter. Especially, to obtain a color filter, conventional processes such as photolithographic processes repeated for several times according to the number of colors for dyeing or a dyeing process or a fixing process are not necessary, so that the production process is significantly simplified. Further, decrease in the production yield due to deposition of dust in a dyeing process can be significantly decreased. The sublimating dye accepting layer used in this process (the hardened layer of a photosetting resin compsn. including a resin having >=90 acid value) has extremely high affinity with cationic dyes and hardly cause bleeding of colors. |
