PURPOSE: To obtain a piezoelectric oscillation gyro having good characteristics by leading out the electrode of a piezoelectric element conveniently without causing any trouble in the operation thereof. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of electrodes 14B, 14C are formed on the surface of a piezoelectric 14A mounted on each side of a rectangular prism oscillator 12. These electrodes 14B, 14C are used for different purposes, e.g. as common electrode and drive electrode. When a drive signal is applied between the electrodes 14B, 14C, the piezoelectric 14A causes the oscillator 12 to oscillate. Since the common potential is taken out on the surface of the piezoelectric 14, the common potential is not required for the oscillator 12 and an insulator can be employed as an oscillator as it is. |
