PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device which can simply perform adjustment in two directions without increasing the number of parts and is also provided with a beam reflecting direction adjusting mirror device which is stable against thermal expansion. CONSTITUTION: A laser beam 123Y obtained after deflection by means of a polygonal mirror, etc., is made incident and reflected on a planar mirror 153, then is detected by a scanning starting position detecting sensor not shown in the figure. As to the mirror 153, the lower ends are supported by projections 151E (two points), it is pressed by an adjusting screw 157 in an opposite direction to a direction to which a spring board 155 presses the mirror 153, so that a tilt angle is adjusted. A fixing screw 183 is used to fix the beam reflecting direction adjusting mirror device 136 to a base member 131Y in a state that the mirror 153 is set on a desired rotating position. A bearing long hole 181 is made a long hole in consideration of the movement of a shaft 171 due to the thermal expansion. |
