摘要 PURPOSE: To perform an automatic tracking operation in order to prevent the transmitting light beam from getting out of an opposite party device even if an optical space communication device has vibrations, etc. CONSTITUTION: The light beam received from an opposite party device is received by a 4-split photodetector 43 via the lenses 37 and 36, a mobile mirror 35, a deflected beam splitter 34, a partial reflecting mirror 41 and a lens 42. The angle of the mirror 35 is detected by a mobile mirror angle sensor 40. A system control circuit 50 drives a collimator lens driving actuator 38 based on the angle information on the mirror 35, the spot position information on the photodetector 43 and the distance information given from a distance setter 51. Thus the lens 33 is moved and the spreading angle of the transmitting light beam is finely controlled to the optimum value.
