PURPOSE: To hold a component by a mounting head to make it possible to mount the component on a substrate if the component has an aperture and even if the component can not ensure a surface to be sucked. CONSTITUTION: In a mounting head 9, a hollow elastic member 11 is provided on the point part of a nozzle 10. The head 9 is formed into a constitution, wherein the point part of the nozzle 10 is inserted in an aperture 12 formed in a component 5 to swell the member 11 and the component 5 is held by a thrust force due to the swelled member 11. Accordingly, if the component 5 has the aperture 12, the component is held by the head 9 and can be mounted on a substrate, even if the component 5 can not ensure a surface to be sucked. |
