PURPOSE: To provide a CD-ROW system in which the same CD-ROW in hardware can be sold or rent to a customer by a trader. CONSTITUTION: This processor is provided with a CD-ROM driving device 15 driving a charged CD-ROM, an auxiliary storage controller 14 reading the information stored in a CD-ROM 4, an MPU 5 processing the processing object information that the auxiliary storage controller 14 reads in accordance with processing information, a ROM 21 for collation storing a rent state in which only the prescribed CD-ROM 4 to which prescribed discrimination information is imparted or a purchased state in which all the CD-ROM can be handled and a nonvolatile memory 22 for collation storing prescribed discrimination information. |
