<p>A carburetor fuel adjusting device including caps (40) having twoappendages (48, 49), and engagement areas (43) to engage valve extensions (8, 16) of fuel adjustment valves (4, 12) of a carburetor. The caps are retained by a retainer (21) in either a disengaged position, or an engaged position wherein the engagement area (43) of the caps becomes attached to the valve extensions (8, 16). In the engaged position, the adjustment valves can be turned in unison with the caps within a range formed by the angle between the appendages (48, 49) which, when rotated, abut against stoppers (51, 52). In a second aspect, a retaining plate (121) of elastic material having two retainer holes (22) adapted to receive and retain the pair of adjustment valves in a prescribed adjustment position is laid against an outer surface of the carburetor body. Base end valve portions (113a) cut threads in the retainer holes to thereby prevent rotation of the adjustment valves.</p> |
