An inhibitor for immunorejection accompanying organ transplantation, particularly heart transplantation, containing 5-amino-(3,4'-bipyridin)-6(1H)-one (amrinone) as the active ingredient; the use of amrinone for producing inhibitors for immunorejection accompanying organ transplantation; and a method of inhibiting immunorejection accompanying organ transplantation by administering amrinone to vertebrates.
