WEIGHT-BAR SUPPORT STRUCTURE WITH RETRACTABLE ARMS

A weight-bar support structure (20) is disclosed. The structure includes a user supporting platform (22) or seat and two spaced apart posts (24). The first end of a weight-bar supporting arm (54) is connected to a lug (46) extending from each post (24). A second end of each arm (56) includes a weight-bar supporting cradle (90) and an upwardly extending guide (92). The arms (26) are moveable from a retracted position to a user lift-off position. A spring (114) having a first end (118) connected to the arm (26) and a second end (116) located in a slot in the lug biases each arm (26), when a weight laden bar (126) is removed therefrom, from the lift-off to the retracted position.
