PURPOSE: To obtain such a feeling of extent that a sound image is present in an actual sound field space while excellent sound image localization is secured by a system which controls the sound image localization. CONSTITUTION: A sound image localization control circuit 18 performs specific signal processing accompanied by delay for inputted audio signals SL and SR on the basis of localization control data and reproduces them through plural speakers 10 and 12 to perform sound image localization processing for localizing a sound image of a direct sound in a range including the outside of the space between those speakers 10 and 12. Further, the input audio signal SL and SR are delayed by a specific time through delay circuits 20 and 22 and inputted to a sound field processing part 24. The sound field processing circuit 24 generates a reflected sound by performing convolutional operation between the signals SL and SR and a reflected sound parameter. The output signals of the sound image localization control circuit 18 and sound field processing circuit 24 are added by adders 26 and 28 as to the same channels and supplied to the speakers 10 and 12 in a listening room 30, so that they are reproduced. |
