A heating element 1 has a filament carrier 3, which is formed from a material with good conductivity (e.g. brass) and accommodates the filament 9. A recess 13 is provided in at least one of the end faces, and the thermocouple 17 is axially insertable into said recess. A threaded pin 27 is retained in a threaded bore 25 opposite the recess 13 and presses the thermocouple 17 against the nozzle holder 29 and secures the heating element 1 on the nozzle holder 29.
