Labelling machine with press=down device for adhesive labels

The machine has bells, to move e.g. bottles (1) along a track. Before reaching the track, one label strip (4) end is pressed to the top of the bottle by a dispenser. The press-down device for sticking the other projecting strip end to a bottle side (3) has a first pivoted lever (10) in each bell. One lever end carries a second pretension pivot lever (20) with a press-down roller (30).Both levers are dimensioned, so that during downward pivot movement, the press-down roller engages on the section between the bottle top (2) and side (3). Further pivot movement of the first lever causes the roller to roll along the side of the bottle, due to the pretension of the second lever. The pivot movement of the first lever is controlled by a stationary cam (50).
