The electroless plating of ABS plastic is conducted by degreasing with a liquid containing 60g/L PC-200 and 10g/L NaOH at 50-55deg.C for 3-5min. and washing three times with water; intaglio etching with 400g/L anhydrous chromic acid and 200-250g/L sulfonic acid at 60-65deg.C for 5-10min. and then recycling chromic acid and washing four times with water and neutralizing with 10vol.% hydrochloric acid; catalyzing with 0.2g/L chloro palladium and 5-20g/L chloro stannic acid, and activating with 10-15g/L sulfonic acid; copper plating by electroless method a with soln. comprising 7g/L CuSO4, 7g/L CH2O, 30cc/L NaOH, 5g EDTA, 30g/L NaHCO3, 1g/L 2,2-bipyrridyl, and 100g/L triethanol amine, and activating; nickel plating by electroless method with a soln comprising 30g/L Ni2SO4, 20g/L NaH2PO2.H2O, and 20g/L sodium citric acid, and washing with water of 60-70deg.C.
