Steam heated cooking device

The device comprises a cooking pot which is enclosed by a boiler jacket which is filled with water and heated. The jacket has an expansion chamber which is connected by an overflow pipe which opens into the jacket above the water level. The overflow is controlled by a heat sensitive valve (14a) which closed above a pre-set temperature.A return line is provided in parallel to the overflow. The return is controlled by a non-return valve (14c) which is closed until the expansion chamber reaches a pre-set pressure. The expansion chamber has a deformable wall (18) which is pref. in the form of a membrane or folded bellows.
