Rapid coating of light concrete slab

A method of coating light concrete slabs involves: (a) wetting the surface with water glass or a water glass-contg. mixt. and/or liq. setting accelerators; and then (b) scattering a dry hydraulic binder or hydraulic binder-contg. mixt. onto the surface, pref. immediately followed by rolling. Also claimed is a light concrete slab produced by the above method and infiltrated with water glass or a mixt. of water glass and water. Pref. the hydraulic binder-contg. mixt. is applied in a quantity greater than its absorption capacity for the water glass-contg. mixt. so that its uppermost layer remains dry. The water glass-contg. mixt. pref. contains at least 30% water glass. The hydraulic binder is pref. cement and the hydraulic binder-contg. mixt. pref. contains sand, stone dust, quartz dust, brick material and/or flyash.
