Anti=rattle control spring for pads of disc brake

The pair of brake pads (2,3) are located in a shaft (4) of the brake housing yoke (5) with the pads linked by a transverse support pin (6). A one piece wire spring (1) has a central section (7) wound at least partially around the pin and with four end sections (15-18) to press onto the end edges of the brake pads. The shaping of the end sections imparts an axial- and radial force onto the pads.The wire spring has the end sections sloped at an angle of at least 4 deg. to press the pads against the brake cylinders and away from the brake disc. The central section has a reaction force onto the pin, with the overall effect of damping any rattling.
