The feed arrangement uses a suction box (10)which has three suction chambers (4,6,7) in the delivery direction. The chamber (7) nearest the top of the machine processing the paper sheets (5), together with the second, middle chamber (6), is subject to a common negative pressure producing suction source (27).The first suction chamber (4) is subject to an additional, second suction source (23). A suction roller (16) is provided between the pile of paper sheets (2) and the conveyor table (1).
