Flat composite material for use as e.g. heat insulating material

The flat, flexible transparent substrate has a silicate-mineral layer as matrix applied on one or both sides without adhesive.Pref. the layer is of mica or natural or synthetic zeolite. The substrate is pref. of an organic or inorganic textile cloth which is woven, unwoven or mesh and is of fibrous or endless filaments. A partic. pref. substrate is of metal cloth or interwoven metal fibres. The matrix is pref. not smooth but only fills depressions in the textile.
