<p>PURPOSE: To provide a tray made of starch which has necessary strength and water resistance even if it is thin and also it can be buried after use and easily decomposed for disposal. CONSTITUTION: A tray is formed by using roughly woven cloth or thin paper having water absorbancy and deposition as a core material 2, molding with pressure a sheet member S with surface parts 5, 5 formed of starch with calcium carbonate mixed integrally provided on a surface and rear of the material 2 and baking. A method for manufacturing the tray comprises steps of continuously supplying the material 2 made of roughly woven cloth or thin paper having water absorbancy and deposition to a starch reservoir, depositing consistent liquid solved with an appropriate amount of calcium carbonate or bean curd lees mixed to a surface and rear of the material 2 by having the material 2 passed through a pair of deposition rolls, then forming a sheet material S by supplying it to a pair of pressing rolls for pressing, forming the tray 1 by punching with pressure the sheet material S by a press machine into a dish, carrying the tray 1 to a baking furnace by a belt conveyer and baking.</p> |
