PURPOSE: To obtain a grease composition suitable for a bearing and a tail seal using a wire brush packing, having excellent flame retardancy and a small leaked amount in water pressure resistance test, comprising a specific base and aluminum hydroxide or talc. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) a chlorinated paraffin having 40-70wt.% chlorine content (e.g. one having 1-50 poise viscosity at 25 deg.C) as a base and (B) 20-60wt.% based on the whole amount of the composition of aluminum hydroxide [e.g. powder having a composition shown by the formula Al2 O3 .xH2 O ((x) is 2-4)] or talc (one having 5-50μm average particle diameter). Preferably the composition further contains (C) 1-20wt.% of fibers (fibers such as cotton or nylon having 0.5-20 denier and 1-15mm and <1mm fiber length). |
