PURPOSE: To provide a cap for fuel tank of which the installing/removing operatability to a filler neck is favorable, and does not require a storage space for a knob cover, etc. CONSTITUTION: A title cap is fitted on a filler neck 11 of a fuel tank. The cap consists of a cylindrical sealing case 17 where a valve mechanism (internal pressure-regulating valve) 15 is built in, engaging rotor 19 which is fitted on the sealing case 17 under such a condition wherein a spring to impart a sealing force can be energized, and upper plate 21 which is fitted in the upper end of the engaging rotor 19. The engaging rotor 19 is depressed by the upper plate 21 until a protruding part 31 for engagement being formed on the filler neck 11 is engaged with a recessed part 37 for guiding/engagement through a guide groove for engagement/disengagement which is formed on the engaging rotor 19, and when the depressing is released, the protruding part 31 for engagement is engaged by rotating with an engaging recessed part 33 to prevent a slipping off from generating, by a spring force, or can be led out by rotating to the guide groove for engagement/disengagement. |
