PURPOSE: To prevent heating without reducing the effect of preventing leakage of a microwave even when the plastic tube having a large bore is fusion-bonded by preventing the leakage of the microwave due to the resonance of a high-frequency circuit by using a microwave leakage preventing chamber and to improve the efficiency of joint heating. CONSTITUTION: A microwave heating type apparatus irradiates a heating chamber 13 with a microwave at the joint of a plastic tube containing a material for heating by absorbing the microwave, and fusion bonds the tube. In this case, the apparatus has a sleeve 17 of a conductor connected to the tube inserting hole 15 opened at the wall of the chamber 13 to pass the tube through the chamber 13. An inner cover member 21 of a conductor is provided in the tube P disposed in the sleeve 17 having an outer diameter substantially equal to the bore of the tube. A microwave leakage preventive chamber 19 which becomes one or a plurality of λ/4 chokes opened at the inner periphery of the sleeve 17 or the outer periphery of the member 21 is provided. |
