PURPOSE: To obtain a medicinal agent containing, as active ingredient, a peptide having a specific amino acid sequence, high in safety to normal biological cells, having interferon-γproduction promotive action in normal hepatocytes, etc., thus useful as e.g. an antiviral agent. CONSTITUTION: This promoter is obtained by formulating, with a vehicle or auxiliary, a peptide as active ingredient having an amino acid sequence of the formula, high in safety to normal biological cells and having interferon-γ(IFN-γ) production promotive action in normal biological cells, esp. hepatocytes followed by pharmaceutical manufacturing in the form of oral agent such as tablets, granules, capsules or powders, injection, cataplasm, implanting agent, eye drop, etc. This promoter is useful as an antiviral agent, antineoplastic agent or antibacteriotic agent based on IFN-γproduction promotive action with antiviral action, antineoplastic action and immunocyte-activating action, etc.
