<p>PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having high pH and exhibiting excellent effect on e.g. the prevention of the formation of a hard cake of pearl pigment after the lapse of a long period by dispersing a pearl pigment using a specific polymeric activator or a resin. CONSTITUTION: This ink composition having an ink pH of 10-12 is produced by dispersing (A) a pearl pigment in (B) a dispersing agent consisting of sodium salt or ammonium salt of a polymeric activator or a resin (e.g. sodium salt or ammonium salt of a condensation product ofβ-naphthalenesulfonic acid with formaldehyde or sodium salt or ammonium salt of a copolymer of maleic anhydride and an olefin compound). The amount of the component B is preferably 1.0-10.0wt.%, preferably 2.0-6.0wt.% in terms of the active component based on the total ink composition. The component A preferably has an average particle diameter of <=15μm and is compounded in an amount of 10-20wt.% in the composition.</p> |
