PURPOSE: To eliminate generation of burr so as to improve and stabilize the quality of electrode tip in the tip dresser to cut/shape the electrode tip of spot welding machine. CONSTITUTION: A gear 5 is arranged to the outer periphery of a cutter holder 1 to hold a cutting blade 2 of electrode tip and the cutter holder 1 is manually or automatically rotated in the fixed direction A, further, truncated conical recessed parts 3, 4 to guide each electrode tip are arranged to both sides of cutter holder 1 and the cutting blade 2 is fixed while protruding by the prescribed value from the recessed part. Also, opening hole parts 6, 7 for discharging cutting chip powder are arranged to rotating sides of the blade 2a for side face cutting and blade 2b for tip part of electrode tip, the opening hole part 7 is arranged along the blade 2a of cutting blade 2 and the opening hole part 7 is arranged so as to reach the boundary between the bottom face of truncated cone and side face. |
