<p>PURPOSE: To provide the subject device designed to mutually bond members to be adhered via an adhesive and to quickly heat the adhesive. CONSTITUTION: This portable-type bonding device has a bonding device body 11 equipped with a grip 15 to be held by a relevant operator, a coil 13 built in the body 11 and to generate heat from an electroconductive exothermic member by electromagnetic induction to effect heating the adhesives applied to both sides of the exothermic member, and a high-frequency generator connected to the coil 13 and to feed high-frequency to the coil. When high-frequency current is introduced into the coil 13, an alternating magnetic field is produced in the coil 13 and the resultant magnetic lines of force are passed through the electroconductive exothermic member to effect generation of eddy current in the exothermic member in accordance with the law of electromagnetic induction. Thereby, heat is generated in the exothermic member itself caused by the Joule heat due to the eddy current, thus heating the adhesives.</p> |
