<p>PURPOSE: To allow a control part to be constituted of only hardware by determining the motor current target value to control a motor driving circuit, and changing the motor current target value by at least one of the motor current target value, a driving current, a gain instruction signal and an upper-lower limit value limiting signal. CONSTITUTION: The motor current target value is determined by a motor current target value determining circuit 2 on the basis of a steering torque signal from a steering torque sensor 1. This motor current target value is amplified (4) and then added (5) to a torque signal compensated in phase (3), and an addition signal is inputted to a current control circuit 7 through a limiter 6. The motor current target value is also determined from a steering torque signal from a steering torque sensor 1a, and the motor current target value with the phase- compensated current added thereto and the motor current target value from the limiter 6 are subtracted (18) from each other in a microcomputer 21. On the basis of the obtained difference, the vehicle speed value, and the like, a judging part 19 adjusts the gain of a gain variable amplifier 4 and a gain variable part 14.</p> |
