PURPOSE: To obtain a heat insulating coating material showing large effect blocking radiant heat and developing sufficient warmth and cold reserving effect by laminating aluminum foil on the metal surface of a polyethylene terephthalate film of which the single surface is metallized by a dry lamination method. CONSTITUTION: Aluminum metal is vapor-deposited on a wide and long biaxially stretched polyethylene terephthalate by a usual method to form a metal layer 3. Next, a gloss layer 51 composed of aluminum foil 5 is laminated on the metal layer 3 through an adhesive layer 4 by a usual dry lamination method. The film laminate thus obtained is cut and taken up to obtain a heat insulating coating material 1. This heat insulating coating material 1 is not lowered in commodity value because the transmission of light becomes inconspicuous by the metallized film 2 even if the aluminum foil 5 itself has a pinhole 52. Since light is reflected by the metallized vapor deposition surface on the surface side of the heat insulating coating material 1, this material 1 receives no effect of an adhesive and large reflectivity is obtained. |
