<p>PURPOSE: To keep the purity and water content of gypsum constant even in the case where a flue gas discharged out of a combustion furnace fuelled with coal and containing fly ashes in a relatively high concentration is desulfurized. CONSTITUTION: A wet-process flue gas desulfurization apparatus is an apparatus to desulfurize a flue gas containing fly ashes in a relatively high concentration and is provided with a jet bubbling reaction tank 12 to desulfurize a flue gas, a centrifugal separator 14 to separate a gypsum slurry drawn out of the reaction tank into a gypsum component and the remaining liquid, and a thickner 16 to separate the remaining liquid flowing out of the centrifugal separator into a concentrated liquid and a supernatant liquid. Further, the apparatus is provided with a bypass pipe 74 provided with a flow rate adjusting valve 78 to lead a gypsum-containing slurry to the thickner from the upper stream side of the centrifugal separator while bypassing the centrifugal separator and also a bypass pipe 76 provided with a flow rate adjusting valve 80 to lead the remaining liquid to a precipitation pond from the upper stream side of a thickner while bypassing the thickner. The open degree of the flow rate adjusting valves is adjusted to correspond to the content of the fly ashes in the flue gas.</p> |
