<p>PURPOSE: To rapidly and surely detect defects of appearance and to correspond to them when the defects of appearance of stripped soldering, etc., are generated, by continuously irradiating the upper and lower faces of a plated flat square wire passing through between a roll for flat square wire and a coiling device with a detecting light respectively, and picture-processing the reflecting light of the detecting light. CONSTITUTION: As a stripped plating detector 15, a picture-processing system stripped plating detector is used, which can discriminate the color of the copper and the color of the solder when an external wound is generated on the front face of a plated flat square wire 14, a plating layer 16 is stripped and the copper on the surface is exposed. When the picture processing system stripped plating detector 15 detects a part of stripped plating, an arithmetic controller orders the command to stop the production line of the solder plated flat type copper wire. Then, this flat square wire 14 generated with the part of stripped solder is removed from the production line as the defective goods. Further, a producing place where the stripped plating is generated is surveyed and the place is repaired, after then the production line is operated.</p> |
