<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a pigment dispersing agent composed of a specific compound containing amino group, having a functional group enabling Michael addition reaction with amino group on its one terminal and derived from a polyester and a polyamine, exhibiting excellent pigment dispersibility and useful for the preparation of a coating material. CONSTITUTION: This pigment dispersing agent is composed of an amino- containing compound having an amine value of preferably 10-500mgKOH/g and produced by reacting (A) a polyester compound of the formula X-Y-R X is a unit having a functional group enabling Michael addition reaction with amino group [preferably (meth)acryloyl]on one terminal of the unit; Y is a unit having a polyester chain formed by the ring-opening of a lactone compound of the formula (R<1> is a 1-10C alkylene which may be substituted with a 1-10C aliphatic alkyl) (e.g. a unit derived fromε-caprolactone); R is a 1-20C alkyl, OH, cyano, etc.} with (B) a polyamine compound (preferably a polyvinyl amine).</p> |
