PURPOSE: To easily produce fiber reinforced silicon carbide composite ceramics consisting of a silicon carbide matrix and a fibrous reinforcing material even in a complicated shape without causing the deterioration of strength. CONSTITUTION: A mixture of metallic silicon powder with resins as a carbon source, an organosilicon polymer and a fibrous reinforcing material is fired preferably at 1,300-1,500 deg.C in an inert atmosphere. |
