INSTALLATION STRUCTURE OF FLASH MOUNT MOLDING

PURPOSE: To improve fitting holding force of a flash mount molding without using an adhesive. CONSTITUTION: A leg part 8 of a sectionally roughly T shaped flash mount molding 6 is press fit in a facing clearance between a window glass opening edge part 4 on the side of a car body panel 1 and an end surface 3a of a window glass 3. Foaming elastomer layers 12, 13 are previously formed respectively on a lower end part 9a of a leg part main body 9 and an anchor lip 10 projectively formed from this lower end part 9a. The flash mount molding 6 is fixed and held by expansion force of the lower end part 9a of the leg part main body 9 and the anchor lip 10 by expanding the foaming elastomer layers 12, 13 by heat treatment.
