PURPOSE: To provide an image transfer apparatus capable of providing beautiful printed matter to which the photosensitive layer of an image forming material on and after a second color is uniformly transferred even when the lap transfer of a solid image is performed. CONSTITUTION: In an image transfer apparatus equipped with an impression cylinder to which an image forming material is applied and a transfer cylinder to which an image receiving material is applied and introducing the image forming material and the image receiving material into the nip between the impression cylinder and the transfer cylinder by the rotation of both cylinders to transfer the image formed on the photosensitive layer of the image forming material to the image receiving material, a layer of a thin synthetic resin film 23 is provided on the layer of the blanket 22 on the surface of the impression cylinder. |
