PURPOSE: To produce anα-olefin polymer having high stereospecificity and high melt fluidity. CONSTITUTION: This polymerization method of anα-olefin is performed in the presence of a catalyst composed of [A] a catalyst solid component containing magnesium, titanium, a halogen element and an electron-donor as essential components, [B] an organic aluminum compound component and [C] an organic silicon compound expressed by the formula: R<1> 2 Si(OR<2> )3 (R<1> is a cyclic amino group and R<2> is a 1-10C hydrocarbon group).
