PURPOSE: To quickly change speeds by setting hydraulic oil supplied for starting to be supplied to a second friction engaging element when feedback control is started during speed changing based on total torque so as to perform feedback control well. CONSTITUTION: During speed changing, immediately before starting of feedback control, engine torque is calculated by means of the input information of an air flow sensor 9a, based on this turbine torque is calculated from the input information of turbine and engine speed sensors 7 and 39 and inertial torque is calculated from all inertial moments of a torque converter 3 based on the input information of a car speed sensor 8. Then, from a map indication a relationship between the sum of turbine and inertial torque determined by experiment, etc., and stored beforehand in ECU 6, a reference duty rate and a duty learning value for properly correcting the reference duty rate are set. From the reference duty rate and the duty rate learning value, a feedback control duty rate relating to hydraulic oil supplied for starting to be supplied to a second friction engaging element is calculated. |
