HEAT-RESISTANT POLTANILINE, DERIVATIVE THEREFROM, SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To obtain a polyaniline or deriv. thereof which is useful as a solid electrolyte for use in a solid electrolytic capacitor, and has a high conductivity and a good heat resistance by introducing sulfo groups into a polyaniline or deriv. therefrom at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION: This heat-resistant polyaniline or deriv. therefrom contains a sulfornic acid compd. as a dopant, the no. of the sulfo groups accounting for 28-40% of that of recurring units of the polyaniline or deriv. therefrom. Pref. sulfonic acid compds. are arom. sulfonic acids. For preparation of the polyaniline or deriv. therefrom having the above-specified dopant concn., the polyaniline or deriv. therefrom is dipped in a soln. of the sulfonic acid compd. and is pref. stirred in the soln. In this case, the sulfonic acid compd. concn. of the soln. is in the range of 0.01 to 0.5 N.
