LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR HOT ROLLING OF STEEL MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To obtain a lubricant composition for hot rolling excellent in durability, capable of extremely suppressing growth of black film (oxidized film) onto the surface of hot rolling roll and preventing burning of the roll and the rolling material and excellent in durability by adding a prescribed amount of oil suspension of boric acid, etc., to base oil. CONSTITUTION: This lubricant composition for hot rolling is obtained by adding (B) >=10wt.% of oil suspension of boric acid and/or a boric acid salt to (A) a base oil which is a mixture of one or two or more oils among a mineral oil such as spindle oil, a synthetic oil such as silicone, oil and fat such as tallow and a synthetic ester. Furthermore, the dynamic viscosity of the lubricant composition is preferably <=1000mm<2> /s at 40 deg.C.
